A resin film which is used for building components such as a unit bath and equivalent or superior in embossing capability to a conventional soft vinyl chloride resin, and a high-grade, high-sensible decorative metal sheet coated with the resin film. An embossing method comprising the steps of coating a decorative metal sheet on the surface thereof with a resin film having a TMA relation value of up to 10, and then rolling the resultant sheet with an engraved roll, wherein a surface temperature Tr of that part of the roll contacting the resin film is set to be Tss - 10 /= Tr /= Tse ( DEG C) and Tr Tmp ( DEG C) based on Tss as a softening start temperature measured by TMA, Tse as a softening end temperature measured by TMA and Tmp measured by DSC, wherein TMA relation value ( DEG C) = Tse - Tss.
