In the prepn. of poly(diorganosiloxanes) (I) with terminal di- or tri-organyloxysilyl gps. by reacting alpha , omega -dihydroxy-poly(diorganosiloxanes (II) with alkoxysilane(s) (III), phosphate ester(s) is used as catalyst.
