Crosslinkable Bicontinuous Cubic Assemblies via Mixtures of Gemini Amphiphiles and Butyl Rubber

Butyl Rubber has several excellent advantages as a barrier material fabric, but the lack of permeability of air and water vapor can lead to fatigue and heat stress in the wearer. This briefing presents a method for the creation of a lyotropic liquid crystals (LLC) and butyl rubber thin film for barrier materials based on the bicontinous cubic phase.
