The present invention relates to a device and a method for the intensification of physical, physical and chemical and/or chemical processes in bodies which are at a solid, liquid, vaporous and/or gaseous state. This invention can be used in the building, the cement, the chemical and the food industries as well as in numerous other industrial branches including transports. The device of the present invention comprises means which are used for applying a physical action on a material and which consist of means for directly or indirectly applying an electric potential to said material. These means for applying an electric potential include an alternating-current voltage supply, for example, an electronic or electromechanical generator. These means for applying an alternating electric potential can be designed in order to apply a potential directly on the material through a single electrode, or in order to apply a potential on a vessel containing the material through a single electrode. This device preferably includes circuit-separation means that may consist of a transformer. This device can further include a plurality of means for modulating electromagnetic oscillations, including frequency modulation, phase modulation and amplitude modulation means. This invention further relates to a method for the intensification of physical, physical and chemical and/or chemical processes in materials which are at a solid, liquid, vaporous and/or gaseous state.
