SIMPLIFIED USER INTERFACE OF DIGITAL STORAGE OSCILLOSCOPE

PURPOSE: A simplified user interface of a digital storage oscilloscope is to allow an easy access for elementary control used most frequently by a user and to accept an access for more improved and associated control using other menu in the established method. CONSTITUTION: A simplified digital storage oscilloscope(DSO), which has multiple controls, consists of a display screen(100) and a menu generation circuitry to display an elementary menu on the display screen. The front side of DSO panel includes the display screen(100), multiple bezel buttons(200) and multiple selection switches(300). The screen display(100) possesses an allocated domain(110) for display of an observed waveform and an allocated domain(130) for menu display. The elementary menu includes multiple entries associated with multiple elementary controls respectively. The elementary controls are selected among multiple controls and used most frequently by the user.
