DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING GUIDE RAIL OF BALANCE WEIGHT FROM BEING DERAILING CAUSED BY EARTHQUAKE

PURPOSE: A device is provided to sense the derailment of a train in all directions with a balance weight by installing safety devices in the upper and lower balance weight of a cage and to send a signal to a control unit. CONSTITUTION: A safety device(5) is installed in the upper and lower part of a balancing weight(4) and connected to a traveling wire(7) by being mounted on a traveling wire supporting stand(6), connected to a controlling unit(2) through a wire connecting terminal(17) and connected to a returning switch(21) for emergent driving of a monitoring board installed in a control room(20) through a monitoring board connecting wire(18). Therefore, when the balance weight is derailed caused by earthquake and so on, the guide rail operates the safety device and an operating signal is delivered to the controlling board through the traveling wire, the connecting wire and the connecting terminal. Then, the cage is stopped and the door is opened.
