PURPOSE: A steering gear 2 for a vehicle is provided to change the rotational force of a steering shaft to the straight reciprocal movement of a rack bar and herein to feel its movement slow and heavy when passing a neutral section by eccentrically forming the center of a pinion from the center of the steering shaft. CONSTITUTION: A motive gear(51) is integrally formed on a pinion shaft(5), and an idle gear(71) butted with the motive gear is formed on a slave shaft(7). An eccentric gear(72) butted with a rack bar(2) is installed and is placed in the center of the rack bar when the amount of eccentricity is maximum. Herein, the circumference of the eccentric gear is made bigger than the right and left execution length of the rack bar so that the maximum part of the amount of eccentricity is not folded twice on the rack bar. In addition, when a driver turns a steering wheel, the pinion shaft rotates by the rotation of the steering shaft, and if the steering shaft rotates, the motive gear rotates the idle gear. Furthermore, if the slave shaft rotates by the rotation of the idle gear, the eccentric gear rotates so that the rack bar is moved to the right and left side.
