PURPOSE: Waste pulp sludge from paper plants is provided, which is processed into cotton form, powder or brittle state to be used for materials of mushroom culture ground, organic fertilizer or compost. CONSTITUTION: A method for making waste pulp sludge like a fiber comprises: crushing plate typed waste pulp sludge into smaller lumps with regulating water content to less than 20%; pulverizing with high speed grinder and drying. For use in culture bed, the pulp sludge is dried and crushed after being mixed with mineral earth such as zeolite, bentonite for good air permeability.
