COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT METHOD OF SNMP NETWORK SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A community management method of a SNMP(simple network management protocol) network system is provided to offer an access authority on a community string table for a manager and permit an access to the community string table for just authorized managers. CONSTITUTION: A community management method of a SNMP network system comprises a steps of a remotely located manager transmitting a command for access to an SNMP agent(20) with a community on the manager, the SNMP agent(20) comparing a community value on the manager, transmitted with the access command, with a community value in a community string table stored in the SNMP agent(20) and offering the access authority on the community string table for the manager in the case that the transmitted community value is identical to the community value stored in the community string table.
