A system and method of SNMP community change in network management system

PURPOSE: A system for automatically changing an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) community in a network management system is provided to automatically change an SNMP community of a corresponding data collecting device when an equipment operator changes an SNMP community of equipment, thereby continuously collecting network management data. CONSTITUTION: A network management target equipment(20) drives an SNMP agent, and outputs self state information at the request of an SNMP manager. An SNMP managing unit(10) drives the SNMP manager corresponding to the SNMP agent, collects state information of network management target equipments, and manages a network. An automatic community changing device(40) has information on the network management target equipment(20) and the network managing unit(10), and automatically changes an SNMP community of the SNMP manager when an SNMP community of the SNMP agent is changed.
