PURPOSE: A quick charge method of a nickel-cadmium/nickel-hydrogen (NiCd/NiMH) cell is provided to eliminate charging errors and reduce heat generation during charge by controlling a charging current according to voltage of a cell, and to eliminate memory phenomena by applying a pulse current. CONSTITUTION: A quick charge method of a nickel-cadmium/nickel-hydrogen(NiCd/NiMH) cell includes a quick charge step performed by a pulse current until before the temperature begins to rapidly increase according to a voltage of the cell to be charged; a finish charge step until a timing of Ton = T/4 by a pulse current in which both the current flowing time of a predetermined current charging time(Ton) and a predetermined current non-charging time(Toff) are controlled within a constant period(T) in accordance with the voltage of the cell; and a fine current charging step by a pulse current in which the current flowing time is controlled with a non-charging time extremely longer than the predetermined current charging time(Ton) and a current charging time extremely shorter than the extremely longer non-charging time, after Ton = T/4. Therefore, the pulse current is applied to the cell to be charged after the timing so that an average amount of charging current of the cell to be charged is controlled.
