PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an ytterium-aluminum-garnet(YAG) yellow phosphor for white luminescent device is provided to give YAG yellow phosphor having high luminescent efficiency in a temperature lower than a conventional temperature, by adding barium fluoride as a flux, and by performing an after treatment using hydrochloric acid solution. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an ytterium-aluminum-garnet(YAG) yellow phosphor having a chemical formula of (Y1-pCep)3Al5O12 where the p is from 0.005 to 0.15, comprises three steps. The first step is to mix ytterium oxide(Y2O3), aluminum oxide(Al2O3) and cerium oxide(CeO2). The second step is to carry out a plastic deformation regarding the mixture in fluoric flux in the temperature from 1400 to 1630C under atmosphere. The third step is to clean and dry the obtained plasticity material in hydrochloric acid solution.
