A Self-service Apparatus for Issuing a Certificate and Method for Performing the Same

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for issuing an unmanned certificate is provided to prevent a possibility that a third party receives a certificate to illegally use and minimize a time and an expense by being installed at a public place to conveniently issue various certificates. CONSTITUTION: If an issuing applicant inserts an electronic resident registration number into an unmanned certificate issuing device(10), a system scans the electronic resident registration number and a fabrication preventing buoy(11). A reader receives the electronic resident registration number and the fabrication preventing buoy, and reads received electronic resident registration number and fabrication preventing buoy(12). If it is identified that the fabrication preventing buoy is existed, the unmanned certificate issuing device scans a fingerprint displayed on a rear surface of the electronic resident registration number(12), inputs the fingerprint to the reader and outputs a service list needed to a certificate issuing service on a screen(13). The issuing applicant selects the service list(14) and inputs the number of an issuing certificate(15). It is requested that the issuing applicant inputs a his or her fingerprint when the number of the issuing certificate is inputted(16). The fingerprint is automatically scanned when the issuing applicant pushes a thumb nail in a fingerprint search box, and the scanned fingerprint is inputted to the reader(17).
