PURPOSE: A process for preparing PFN dielectric ceramics without using additives at a low temperature of less than 950C is provided which gives the title ceramics having high dielectric constant and low dielectric by controlling calcining and sintering processes. CONSTITUTION: A process comprises the steps of providing Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3(PFN) powder from Fe2O3, Nb2O5 and PbO, calcining the PFN powder in an oxygen atmosphere and sintering in an oxygen atmosphere at a temperature of less than 950C after molding of calcined PFN powder. Only controlling calcining and sintering processes without requiring addition of additives such as Mn obtains a sintered body having high dielectric constant and minimized dielectric loss.
