PURPOSE: Cyclohexanone derivative, nematic liquid crystal composite including it and liquid crystal display element using nematic liquid crystal composite are provided to have a nematic liquid crystal phase in a wide range of temperature and a positive value of dielectric anisotropy for providing excellent nematic liquid crystal composite and cyclohexanone derivative in optic anisotropy (n) and running voltage characteristics. CONSTITUTION: Cyclohexanone derivative, nematic liquid crystal composite including it and liquid crystal display element using nematic liquid crystal composite can be applied to various fields. The cyclohexanone derivative comprises: R1 having C1-C12 alkyl-group, C1-C12 alcoxy-group, F, CN, Cl, and homogenized C1-C5 alkyl-group; R2 having C1-C12 alkyl-group or C1-C12 alcoxy-group; R3 and R3' being H or F regardless of each relation; three cyclohexanone derivates; and one or two CH2-CH2. The nematic liquid crystal composite includes the cyclohexanone derivative. The liquid crystal display element includes a liquid crystal layer between a pair of electrode substrates and has at least one nematic liquid crystal composite.
