SLAG DART FOR PREVENTING INCLUSION OF SLAG INTO MOLTEN STEEL TAPPED FROM CONVERTERS

PURPOSE: A slag dart is provided to accomplish an improved quality of steel manufacture, increased recovery rate of molten steel, and effective prevention against inclusion of impurities while preventing a slag from being included into a ladle. CONSTITUTION: A slag dart comprises a funnel-shaped dart head(20) made of refractories and which has at an outer periphery thereof a plurality of grooves formed from a top to a bottom of the dart head, a sleeve(30) made of refractories and which is coupled to a bottom of the dart head and inserted into a tap hole of a converter, and a rod(40) penetrating through the sleeve and the dart head so as to integrally couple the sleeve and the dart head. The grooves can be formed at a lower outer periphery of the dart head spaced from a top surface of the dart head, and the sleeve may consist of a plurality of sleeve units having at an upper portion thereof a protrusion and at a lower portion thereof a groove.
