PURPOSE: A method for managing the information of lost and acquired articles through communication networks is provided to easily and simply carry out the registration and search of lost and acquired articles through communication networks. CONSTITUTION: A loser inputs information relevant to a lost article(410). A lost article management server stores inputted lost article associated information in a lost article associated information database(420). The lost article management server stores lost article display information in a display information database(430). The lost article management server accesses an acquisition associated information database to search and extract matched acquisition associated information(440). If there is matched acquisition associated information(450), the lost article management server provides matched acquisition associated information to the loser through the web server(460).
