A fish hook hold-down (100) for securing a component, such as a connector, to a printed circuit board assembly has a curved housing attaching portion (102) located with the component and a strip (104) connecting therewith. An end portion of the strip (104) is folded over and shaped to form a fish-hook portion (106) for engaging in a hole of the printed circuit board.
