AN INTERPOLATION METHOD OF BINARY SHAPE USING AN ADAPTIVE THRESHOLD

PURPOSE: A method for interpolating a binary image using a variable threshold value is provided to obtain a binary value by comparing a variable threshold value with an interpolated pixel value. CONSTITUTION: A context of 8 bits, Ct is obtained by using neighboring pixels, namely C0, C1, C2, ....C7 according to a location of an interpolating pixel. A threshold value of the interpolating pixel corresponding to the context of 8 bits, Ct is obtained. An interpolating process for P1, P2, P3, and P4 is performed by comparing a variable threshold value with an interpolating value of a weight value according to locations of neighboring points A, B, C, and D and the other points E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L.
