MIXING VALVE WITH ONE HANDLE AND MODIFIED BALL COCK

FIELD: mixing cocks for control of flow rate and temperature of liquid mixture. SUBSTANCE: mixing valve has body and movable valve member. Body has recess, several inlet holes and one outlet hole communicated with recess. Ball member is located in body for engagement with inlet holes for control of flow rate and temperature of liquid mixture. Body has hole for control. Ball member is provided with control lever connected with it. Control lever passes through control hole. Valve body is provided with cartridge whose housing has upper hole for passage of control lever and lower hole for mounting movable ball member in recess of valve body. Cartridge housing has seat for mounting the seal around its upper hole. This seat is provided with sealing gasket for sealing-up the ball member having first bow-shaped slot located on larger circle of ball member and used for passing the shaft through it. Shaft is secured in trunnions to avoid lateral motion. Ball member is mounted for rotation about shaft axis at point where shaft passes through slot to inner cavity of ball member. Distance piece secured in upper portion of ball member is used for supporting the ball member and excluding its falling out of lower hole of cartridge housing. Invention includes several versions of valve. According to one version, valve has no seat for fitting the seal in cartridge housing. According to another version, valve has no cartridge and seat is made in cap. Cartridge of ball member and ball member proper may be used as individual detachable units. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, durability and maintainability of mixer, cartridge and ball member. 48 cl, 14 dwg
