SUBSTANCE: method is applicable when controlling level of harmful substances arising from environmental pollution and consists in determining zinc ions in drinking water utilizing accessible and inexpensive horse-radish peroxidase. Method involves photometric measurement of the rate of reaction of peroxidase oxidation of o- dianizidine with hydrogen peroxide in presence of zinc ions.
