With its upper face turned downwards the adaptor plate (4) is laid in the recess (5) defined by the moulding box and mould chambers and matched to the mould bottom (1). The mould bottom is then guided into a press. The mould bottom can be made of plastics, wood or metal and is reinforced by profiling. Several recesses may be provided in the mould bottom to accommodate adaptor plates. Pins (7) are fitted on the mould bottom to lock into mating holes (8) when the mould box is lowered.
