New nikkomycin derivatives useful as antifungal agents, fungicides, insecticides and miticides

Nikkomycin derivatives (I), i.e. nikkomycins Lx, Lz, Li and Lj, are new. Nikkomycin derivatives of formula (I) are new: R1 = a group of formula (i) or (ii): R2 = OH or NHCH(COOH)CH2CH2COOH. An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing of nikkomycin derivatives in which individual genes coding for nikkomycin synthesis are inactivated and correspondingly treated microorganisms produce the nikkomycin derivatives.
