The circuit produces a turbine control valve control signal and has a P-regulator as revolution rate regulator (1) and a PI regulator as power regulator (2). A revolution rate error is fed to the revolution rate regulator as its input signal. The input signal to the power regulator is formed by summing (3) the revolution rate regulator output signal and the power error, which is related to an approximated internal turbine power.
