Memory chip developed to have a definite structure

The chip has atomic unit cells (EC1,EC2) consisting of a monolayer of a cell element arranged in several parallel, sinusoidally corrugated unit rows with locations of foreign atoms of different size from the cell element atoms on a stepped single crystalline substrate of a carrier element. The unit cells are converted into a structured raster of pico cells (PC1-PC3) for storing digitized information. The pico cells have atomic edge chains (BC1) on substrate steps (SS1,SS2) dimensioned for longitudinally aligned unit cells and at least one edge chain and barrier elements on both transverse sides. An Independent claim is also included for a method of producing a chip.
