2-Benzyl-pyrazolo(3,4-d)pyrimidin-4(5H)-ones or -thiones (I) are new. Pyrazolo-pyrimidine derivatives of formula (I) and their tautomers are new. X = O or S; Y = halo, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, CF3 or OCF3; m is not defined. N.B in a dependent claim 2-(2-chloro-4,5-methylenedioxybenzyl)-pyrazolo(3,4-d)pyrimidin-4(5H)-one is stated to be a compound (I). An Independent claim is included for the preparation of (I).
