The hot water generator has a mixer (4) with a steam inlet channel (12), a water outlet channel (6) and a hot water output channel (18). A steam sensor arrangement (31) is mounted in the hot water output channel (18). A choke (19,25) in the steam inlet or water outlet channel is used to control the steam delivery and/or the pressure in the system connected to the mixer. An Independent claim is also included for a device supplied by a hot water generator.
