A car has a primary drive unit and an air-conditioning compressor which can be driven from the primary unit. The air-conditioning compressor (1) can be operated for the stationary situation of the primary drive aggregate (2) by a further drive assembly (3). The devices needed for the operation of the further drive assembly are those of the primary drive unit. The further drive assembly is designed as an IC engine. The driving force needed for a travel movement of the car can be made available by the primary drive unit which is designed as an IC engine and also by a hybrid drive which has the primary drive unit and at least one end energy storage device.
