The two leg elements (2, 4) are mirror images of each other, and the sideways and inwards-facing portions (4') have a 180 degrees bend at their ends and connect with the rest of the leg via near 90 degrees bends. They plug into pockets (8) in a support plate (10) which fits immediately under the seat. Filler or coupling pieces (22', 24') fit into the pockets inside the parallel tube sections of the inward-facing portions and may accommodate the lower ends of the tubes (24) supporting the armrests.
