The electromagnetic relay has a rectangular body (10) with an open chamber (11) in one side face containing a magnetic system (12) and supporting a contact system from one end face. A separate L-shaped insulator (31) has one arm (32) fitted into a groove in the side face of the rectangular body, the other arm (33) partially overlapping the open side of the chamber.
