The thermal anemometer has a cylindrically shaped air permeable sleeve, which dampens the turbulence. The sleeve consists of circular ring laminations (5) and longitudinal laminations (6), which are slotted and fitted one in the other, so that a grid is formed, with exclusively radially extending flow surfaces.
