Gene isolated on the short arm of human chromosome 17

The present invention relates to DNA molecules that contain the information for a human gene isolated on the short arm of chromosome 17. The present invention further provides vectors containing these DNA molecules, and in a preferred embodiment these vectors are suitable for expressing the DNA molecules according to the invention in prokaryotes or eukaryotes. Furthermore, the present invention relates to medicaments and diagnostic compositions which contain the above DNA molecules or vectors, the protein encoded thereby or an antibody which specifically recognizes this protein.
