Casement security system uses guides and pulser-operated notcher under spring control to arrest tipped casement in response to pressure on casement retainer

A spring-actuated second guide as part of the first guide (32) has an arrest notch (46) such that if the casement (12) is freed, a notcher (30) is homed into the groove (46) by a pulser (44,48) and thus holds the casement by retainer (20) when the notcher (30) locks into a second groove in response to the spring (40) acting on the retainer (20). The spring is actuated by the retainer (20) under pressure. The second groove has dampers to break down the movement of the notcher (30), the dampers so allocated to the pulser (44) as to operate once the notcher has been actuated by the pulser (44).
