Method for sealing canal base and embankments using clay shapes poured over the site and compressed by a compactor

A method for sealing the bottom and side embankments for a canal/waterway uses clay shaped into regular three dimensional shapes and dropped over the areas to be sealed. The applied layer is pressed into a sealing layer by a compactor, with the sealing layer having no cracks or joints. The poured layer is twice the final thickness and the compacting is applied progressively and in a manner which ensures a spread up the embankments. The pressed clay shapes can be cubes with a side length of 3 to 10 cm, and replace the conventional slabs of clay.
