The floor tile is of plastics and especially of recycled plastics waste with a base plate (1) in a quadrilateral shape with cut-back recesses (3,3',4,4') at the edges. The structure allows two or more tiles to be locked together to form a smooth floor covering surface. The under side is fitted with spacers (5) in a regular distribution.
