The drive module comprises a support (9), which extends from the pedal bearing (3) to an axle of a nave of the drivable running wheel, on one side of which it is arranged. The drive module in the area of the pedal bearing is pivotably arranged on the frame of the bicycle. The support (9) is a hollow profile with high strength against torsion and bending. The connection of the support to the vehicle frame can be produced by an insert union provided with an easily releasable securing device. The hollow profile of the support has a cover, which allows access to the interior of the support. Between the nave of the drivable running wheel and the support is a drum brake, the operating lever (17) of which and/or operating cable (18) are arranged inside the hoillow profile of the support.
