The main housing (2) of the sorting apparatus for a fiber suspension has a snap clamp lock (4) to secure the cover (3) at the inlet side. The snap clamp lock (4) has a ring-shaped clamp (7) with radial projections, which work with the housing (2) and cover (3). The cover (3) and the clamp (7) have wedge-shaped radial projections (5). At least one projection has an angled wedge surface in the peripheral direction. The clamp (7) grips over the wedge surfaces of the cover projections (5), with a rotating movement to give the closing action and the clamped grip between the housing (2) and the cover (3). The main housing (2) has a radial projecting flange (6) round it, which is also gripped by the clamp (7). The radial projections round the cover (3) and the clamp (7) are at equidistant intervals, in pairs. The clamp can be fitted with a number of spaced clamps. The snap clamp lock (4) has an additional mechanical closure (10), to prevent rotation of the ring clamp (7) when in the closed position. The inlet connection into the cover (3) has an additional snap clamp lock (14) to hold the inlet pipe. It has a one-piece clamp with a bayonet ring, and an additional mechanical closing lock at the clamping ring, held together by a screw bolt.
