Three grooves (3,4,5) of slightly different diameters are positioned parallel on the surface of a rectangular base in order to accommodate the asparagus (9). A shorter rectangular plate (7), also equipped with grooves, is placed on the base and guided along the base with elevations, on both sides and sliding in grooves (2,6), positioned alongside the base. Circular blades (10,11,12), fixed to the grooves of the peeling unit (7,8), cut the peel gently of the asparagus (9), avoiding the asparagus head to be damaged in the process.
