Automatic adjustment of cables to assist the structure of an equipment to be tested for measurements of the electromagnetic compatibility

The method involves connecting positioners to cables of the equipment under test and finding positions of the positioners for which there is a maximum signal response. The method involves: (a) connecting positioners to cables of the equipment under test; and (b) finding positions of the positioners for which there is a maximum signal response, by (i) measuring signal response for current positions of the positioners; (ii) varying current positions of the positioners, where the current positions are varied using a remote control unit which controls the position of the positioners; (iii) repeating steps (i) and (ii) a predetermined number of times; and (iv) determining a maximum signal response for all current positions of the positioners measured in step (i).
