Agent for mouth care based on chlorine dioxide and zinc salt or peroxide, useful for prevention of caries, gingivitis and parodontitis and for treatment and control of halitosis

An agent for the care of the mouth containing chlorine dioxide source(s) and zinc salt(s) in defined concentrations is new. Also new is an agent for the care of the mouth containing chlorine dioxide and/or chlorine dioxide source(s) and hydrogen peroxide and/or a peroxide source in defined concentrations. An agent for the care of the mouth contains: a) 0.03-15 wt.% of one or more chlorine dioxide (ClO2) sources; and b) 0.01-10 wt.% of one or more zinc salts. An Independent claim is also included for an agent for care of the mouth containing; c) 0.03-15 wt.% ClO2 and/or one or more ClO2 sources; and d) 0.5-25 wt.% H2O2 and/or a peroxide source.
