The container has a box-shaped exterior with a side door (18), integral thermostatically-controlled cooling system and an inner cold chamber with a thermally insulating material on all sides and underneath. The cooling system is mounted outside the cold chamber with an evaporator in an evaporator chamber above the cold chamber so that condensed water flows onto humidifying plates (21) arranged vertically above a lower humidifying pan in the cold chamber (16) which has an upper panel (15) with air outlet and inlet openings connected to the evaporator chamber.
