Composition for dyeing fibers, especially human hair, in wide range of shades under mild conditions, containing aromatic enamine and carbonyl compound

A composition for dyeing fibers is obtained by mixing two components, i.e. component (A) containing at least one aromatic or heteroaromatic, acyclic or cyclic enamine (I) and component (B) containing at least one carbonyl compound (II). A composition for dyeing fibers is obtained by mixing two components, i.e. (A) containing at least one aromatic enamine of formula CH2=C(R3)NR1R2 (I) and (B) containing at least one carbonyl compound (II). R1 = aryl (including heteroaryl); R2 = alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkoxyalkyl (optionally having the alkyl chain interrupted by O); R3 = alkyl or alkoxyalkyl; or R3 = alkylene, alkoxyalkylene, O, S or N which is linked with R1 to complete a ring; alkyl or alkylene moieties have 1-8C. An Independent claim is included for a hair dyeing method, involving contacting the hair with the above composition for 5-60 minutes at 20-50 deg C, rinsing with water and drying.
