The system has electrical screening for the cables. A flexible, bendable protective tube (1) has a hollow volume (9) for accommodating the cables, and a continuous longitudinal slit (10) whose edges (11a,11b) can be fixed adjacent to each other or overlapping. The tube has an internal or external coating of electrically conducting material (2) or can be made of electrically conducting material. An earth contact arrangement (3) is connected to the conducting material and to earth.
