An automotive brake drum has a hydraulic device (1) which makes brake adjustments to compensate for mechanical wear. The device (1) has a housing (2) with two sliding axial hydraulic brake pistons (3, 4) which effect the brake shoe adjustment. The pistons (3, 4) are separated by an intermediate chamber (5) with hydraulic fluid supplied through a passage (6). A hydraulic fluid control piston (9) linked to the brake pedal is located in the passage (6) and adjusts the brake shoe reset travel distance.
