The device is for cylindrical cool springs (5) with axial fastener pegs/eyes (7) at the ends (6). It consists of a mainly U-shaped spring cage (1) with base plate (2) and two parallel vertical sides (3), to support the spring ends. Each side has a slot (4), which is open towards its free end to form grab fingers, so that the fastener pegs can project through the slots. Width of the base plate and length of the sides are smaller than, or the same as, the outer diameter of a spring. The external distance between the sides is adjusted to the installed size of the spring fastening. The grab fingers have nipples on the inside to prevent slipping of the spring.
