The fan-less heat exchanger has two combinations of system components in series and each contg. the sequence of a spray electrode (1a,1b), a precipitation electrode (2a,2b) and a heat exchanger (3a,3b). The system component operating voltages are selected so that the ions experience a persistent thrust force as they pass through the whole system and a sufficient air flow through the heat exchanger is produced by the ion wind.
