Powdered composition (A) for dyeing human hair contains at least one solid direct dye (I) and 5-30 wt.%, on total composition, of at least one fatty acid, or its ester, (II) of melting point (m. pt.) not over 80 deg C. An Independent claim is also included for a method for preparing (A).
