Pre-emulsion for hair color production contains fatty alcohol ethoxylate, oleic acid, ethanediol and/or propanediol distearate and glycerol stearate and/or sugar fatty acid ester. Pre-emulsion for hair color production comprises: (a) 20-40 wt.% 12-14 carbon (C) fatty alcohol ethoxylate(s) with 1-5 ethylene oxide groups, (b) 15-40 wt.% oleic acid; (c) 5-30 wt.% ethanediol and/or 1,2-propanediol distearate; (d) 5-20 wt.% glyceryl stearate and/or sugar fatty acid ester(s); and (e) 0-25 wt.% 12-18C fatty alcohol(s). It contains no other emulsifiers or fat bodies, has a water content } 10 wt.% and is adjusted to pH 7-1-9.
