The exhaust pipe (1) is welded to a tubular sleeve (2) itself welded into the intake orifice of the connection flange (3). The sleeve (2) fits into the orifice (7) and the exhaust pipe fits into the sleeve which is welded to the flange from the face side into the join (9) between flange and sleeve. The exhaust pipe is welded to the inside (5) of the sleeve (2) along one endface.
