Automobile gearbox has parallel permanently dxriven and intermittently driven drive trains with auxiliary cogwheel stage of intermittently driven drive train switched in during gear changing in lower gear range
The gearbox (9) has an input shaft coupled via 2 parallel drive trains to an output shaft, each drive train having at least 2 cogwheel stages, one of the drive train (12) permanently driven by the input shaft, while the other drive train (13) is intermittently driven by the input shaft. An auxiliary cogwheel stage (17) of the intermittently driven drive train is switched in during gear changing in the lower gear range. An Independent claim for a gearbox gear ratio switching method is also included.
